Grace and Cinema: A Lecture by Fr. David Guffey, CSC

February 7, 2014

A rare snowstorm shut down the University of Portland on the night of his major public address sponsored by the  Garaventa Center, but Fr. David Guffey, CSC trekked through swirling flakes to record his fascinating talk on the state of faith-friendly media today. Pour a cup of coffee or a nice cabernet franc and enjoy not just this film director/writer/producer’s observations about the potential for entering a new “Golden Age” of Catholic and faith-friendly movies, but a remarkably accessible, succinct overview of cinematic history! You won’t look at any movie the same way after you hear Fr. Guffey’s illuminations in this 45-minute talk.
